As we head into 2017, our campaign is continuing to grow on so many different levels. We accomplished so much in 2016 because of our strong volunteers and we are looking forward to making 2017 even better.
Thus far, the New York Team has planned one big event in Albany for each of the six months that the legislature is in session. At least four of those events will be opportunities for our supporters to come to Albany, wear their yellow C&C shirts, show their support and raise our voices. (If you ever need a refresher about what we’re doing and where, you can always visit the Events section of our website at http://www.compassionandchoices.org/new-york.) In addition to direct lobbying work or work at the Capitol there are still so many other ways to be involved. If you are someone who is tech savvy and likes to make Facebook graphics, we have a place for you. If you are someone who only wants to volunteer for an hour a month, we have a place for you. If you are willing to volunteer with us there is no contribution too large or too small. Our our organization is happy to help you find the best way for you to be involved.
We invite you to our Volunteer Webinar Training. On Thursday January 19 2017 at 7 PM, state campaign leaders Corinne and Amanda will be hosting a training to get our volunteers up to speed with our strategic 2017 plan for the Medical Aid in Dying Act and to prepare our volunteers for upcoming events and educate about best practices.
Please register for NY Volunteer Training on Thursday, January 19, 2017 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST at:
After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the training.
If you are unable to make the training session for any reason, it will be recorded and able to be sent after it is complete. We will also be hosting sessions like this going forward on a quarterly basis.
